Create new TAG in a form

Yes, you can create a new tag using Formidable Forms Pro, just like with categories.

To set this up:

  1. Add a Field: In your form, add a “Text” or “Tags” field where the user can type the tag name.
  2. Go to Settings: Navigate to Settings > Actions & Notifications and edit your Create Post action.
  3. Map the Tag: Scroll down to the Taxonomies/Categories section.
  4. Configure: Select Tags from the dropdown and map it to your form field. Ensure the option to “Create new tag if it doesn’t exist” is enabled.

When the form is submitted, Formidable will check if the tag exists; if not, it will automatically create it and assign it to the new post.
