Front end sorting in views

To enable front-end sorting in Formidable Visual Views, follow these steps:

  1. Open your View: Go to Formidable > Views and click on your specific View.
  2. Access Sort & Filter: Click on the Sort & Filter tab in the right-hand sidebar.
  3. Add Sort Link: Under the Sort Order section, look for the field you want users to sort by. Click the three dots (⋮) or the settings icon next to that field and select “Allow front-end sorting”.
  4. Configure the Link: Once enabled, you will see options to set the “Sort Label” (e.g., “Sort by Tag”).
  5. Insert the Shortcode: To display the sorting links on your page, you need to add the [frm-sort-grid] or [frm-sort-links] shortcode inside the Before Content section of your View.

Alternatively, if you are using a Table View, you can simply check the box for “Enable table sorting” in the View settings, which makes the column headers clickable for the user.
