Search form in a View

If you want a search form that lets someone choose a model and then view matching entries, Formidable Forms supports this through a View with search.

A typical setup is:

• View that displays your entries
• search form on that View page
• Model field
• View page, and it searches that View. Users can then click through to a single entry if you also set up a detail page.

  For example:

  • Model field

  • Another option

    If your form already uses Lookup fields for Year / Make / Model, you can also build a form with those dependent dropdowns first, then use the selected model to narrow what gets displayed in a View.

    Important note

    I can confirm the search-on-a-View approach from the available documentation. I don’t have enough information here to confirm the exact no-code method for making the search submit to a separate dedicated “all entries for this model” page beyond the View search workflow.
